Tape and Float Yoga

““So, my dear friends, listen carefully; those who embrace these my ways are most blessed. Mark a life of discipline and live wisely; don’t squander your precious life. Blessed the man, blessed the woman, who listens to me, awake and ready for me each morning, alert and responsive as I start my day’s work. When you find me, you find life, real life, to say nothing of GOD ’s good pleasure. But if you wrong me, you damage your very soul; when you reject me, you’re flirting with death.””  Proverbs 8:32-36 MSG   This passage really struck me this week, specifically the phrase “as I start my day’s work”.  It never occurred to be that Wisdom is already at work.  What if I need to look for where she is, then align my work with hers’ (instead of just asking for wisdom for what I am working on)?  Not sure what this looks like yet, but curious to find out.

Sunday, 63 degrees, wind N 8-12mph, sunny!

A beautiful morning to wake up to here in Redding.  It has been so nice to see the sun shining (was raining most of the week).   Bear loves playing chase and tug of war with Cindy, especially when the weather is nice like today.  We had breakfast at Courtyard Cafe this morning… always a good way to start the day.

This week has been a bit “foggy” due to trying to shake this head cold.  Taking Benadryl and Sudafed which helps with the effects of the cold, but slows the thinking down a bit also.

Lots of progress finishing the drywall this week in the bath/bed remodel.  Taping and floating has gone pretty smoothy and strangely therapeutic.  Tape and Float Yoga has been the theme of the week.  Stretching, extending arms… etc.  Gotta love getting to exercise… while adding value to the house 🙂

Ben sold his blue 4 door Jeep this week and his “new” Toyota Forerunner was delivered early Monday morning.  Wednesday and Thursday there was a flurry of parts delivered from Amazon that Ben ordered for repairs and upgrades to the new car.  He had over $4,000 “recommended to replace” parts from the Toyota dealer, and was able to purchase them off Amazon (with free delivery) for about $1,300.  Very interesting change in the way auto repair parts are being sold/purchased.  Saturday Ben was working changing out the timing belt which is a pretty major endeavor…. He decided to film his project and plans to post it to YouTube for the benefit of others.  Love seeing him do what he loves to do.

Emily and David also had a big week.  Bret and Carolina (Emily’s in-laws) put a contract on a house in Brisbane that they will use as an investment, while Emily and David live in it.  This one has some air conditioning, which will be a big change considering it was up to 102 degrees there this week.

Plan for the next week is to continue tape and float yoga, while starting on installing tile in the shower and bathroom.  Hopefully will be able to texture and prime all walls by the end of the week.  Fun to see the space look closer to finished.
